Celebrating Impact: The Inua Dada Programme
At the heart of our commitment to empowering communities, the Inua Dada Programme stands out as one of the initiatives we are most proud of. Launched to uplift women within the Naivasha region’s horticulture sector, the programme focuses on strengthening socio‑economic resilience, improving health outcomes, and building leadership capacity among women across Flamingo Horticulture and its outgrower network.
Since its inception, Inua Dada (Uplift a Sister) has transformed lives by equipping women with practical skills, knowledge, and the confidence to pursue new opportunities. Through financial literacy and technical development, thousands have gained tools to shape their futures.
The impact has been remarkable
- 2,300+ women trained in financial literacy, helping them save, budget, and start income‑generating activities.
- Women gaining skills in non-traditional fields like welding, plumbing, carpentry, and operating agricultural machinery.
- Stronger leadership pipelines, with over 120 women completing structured leadership development.
- Improved health awareness and confidence, supported by screenings, training, and access to essential sanitary products.
- Powerful ripple effects as participants pass on their skills to peers, families, and their wider communities.
Behind the numbers are real stories—of women who have launched thriving businesses, transitioned into better‑paying roles, taken leadership positions, and built brighter futures for their families. Their resilience is the true measure of the programme’s success.
As we continue this journey through the ongoing Inua Jamii Zetu Programme, we remain committed to expanding opportunities, addressing barriers, and ensuring that women across our value chain are empowered to rise, lead, and thrive.
Inua Dada reminds us that when you uplift a woman, you uplift a community—and that’s a mission we are honoured to champion.
