Baby leeks closely resemble the Spring Onion however do not form bulbs or produce cloves like their Allium cousins. This product has a sleek edible cylindric stem, a snow white stalk with green petit tips.
The entire product is edible making it a culinary favourite with its moist flesh and mild sweet flavour. Currently grown only in Kenya this is a very hardy plant that can withstand and survive cool, even cold climates throughout the Northern hemisphere. They grow best during temperatures ranging from 55°F to 75°F grown by Flamingo this product is available all year round.
